A long red carpet was rolled out over the hundred steps leading to the academic building. The principal, teachers in their staff uniforms, and a few student representatives stood on either side of the carpet to welcome them.

As the principal personally received her, students from all over the school crowded against the railings, looking down. The academic building was packed with people, creating a lively spectacle.
