The girl who looked like a little white rabbit put down her schoolbag. Holding down her skirt as she sat, she glanced at Holly Winslow and then smiled sweetly. "Hi, I'm Valerie Walsh. Are you Mortimer Quincy's cousin?"
"Mhm." Holly nodded, the straw still in her mouth.
"Holly, don't nod with the straw in your mouth." Mortimer Quincy's voice held a mild scolding tone. 'His wife had quite a few bad habits, and he'd been trying to correct them for years to no avail.'
Holly quickly took the straw out of her mouth and shot him a sheepish glance, giggling.
Zeke Zane rubbed his nose. 'How in the world did Mortimer manage to find a girlfriend? He wanted to find one this obedient, too.'
Holly suddenly remembered that the other girl had introduced herself, but she hadn't. She turned to the rabbit-like girl and said with a wide smile, "Hi, my name is Holly Winslow."
"Can I call you Holly, just like your cousin does?" The timid girl glanced shyly past her toward Mortimer.
