"What are you spacing out for? Let's go." Seeing the troubled look on her face, Archie Lockwood didn't need to guess what was on her mind. He snatched the bill from her hand and walked out of the room.
Eleanor Bishop snapped back to reality and jogged anxiously to catch up with Archie Lockwood.
Even without looking back, Archie knew she was jogging to keep up. Remembering she was still injured, he subconsciously slowed his pace.
After a minute, she still hadn't caught up.
He frowned in annoyance and turned to look back, only to see her standing a few feet away, wringing her hands anxiously.
"What are you doing? Get over here."
"Well… um… I… I don't have enough money on me," Eleanor Bishop said, looking up with a deathly pale face, her voice low and hesitant.
Archie Lockwood raised an eyebrow, feigning ignorance. "So?"
"So… could I borrow some money from you?"
