Archie Lockwood's gaze was menacing as he glared at Eleanor Bishop. "I thought you said you wouldn't bother us? Now get lost!"
"Oh…" Eleanor snapped back to reality. Holding back tears, she gave a faint reply, then turned, opened the car door, and prepared to get out.
Seeing Eleanor about to get out, Archie gripped the steering wheel. "Wait a minute!"
Eleanor's heart skipped a beat. She turned back and looked at Archie, a sense of unease washing over her.
She didn't know what she was hoping for, but when she heard those three words, her heart couldn't help but constrict painfully.
Archie Lockwood's lips curled into a sneer. He snatched up the medicine and tossed it into Eleanor Bishop's lap. "Take your medicine, and get out."
The moment the medicine landed in her lap, she could no longer hold back her tears. They streamed down her face.
She grabbed the medicine, got out of the car, and slammed the door shut before running away in tears.
