After calming Kiki down, Mika Summers handed Kiki over to Tristan Grayson and returned to the bedroom alone.
She pulled out her phone and called Jasmine.
The call connected on the second try, but once it did, both sides were silent.
Mika didn't speak first, and Jasmine was quiet as well.
After what felt like a long time, Jasmine seemed to grow impatient. Her cold voice shattered Mika's thoughts. "What do you want? If you're not going to say anything, I'm hanging up."
"I saw your wedding gift." Hearing that familiar yet strange voice, Mika gave a faint, bitter smile and spoke calmly.
After she spoke, silence fell on the other end of the line once again. A long moment passed before a cold voice replied, "Oh? And? Are you surprised?"
"Yes, very surprised." Mika walked to the edge of the bed and sat down, forcing a casual smile as she continued, "It's a good thing you told me. Otherwise, I'd still be in the dark. Jasmine, you really are a good friend."
