Archie Lockwood hung up before Eleanor Bishop could finish. He stared at his home in the distance, his gaze dark and cold, and ordered sharply, "Howard, turn the car around. We're going home!"
"Yes, sir."
It took them nearly an hour to get back to the villa.
From a distance, they could see Eleanor Bishop standing by the entrance, a little girl held in her arms.
The moment Archie Lockwood saw the girl in Eleanor's arms, his heart gave an unexpected lurch.
For over two years, he had considered visiting his daughter. But the thought of Eleanor's betrayal always forced him to push the urge down, to suppress the emotion.
He knew he shouldn't blame Rory for Eleanor's mistakes, nor should he be so cruel to his own daughter.
But he couldn't forgive Eleanor. And if he wanted to make a clean break with her, he couldn't see Rory.
Howard Rhodes got out, walked over to Archie's side, and opened the car door.
