Leo Joyce had his arm around Tiana, his gaze fixed on the slender woman in the distance. A dull ache bloomed in his chest.
She had finally come to terms with things and let go.
But seeing that, his heart ached for her even more than before.
"Leo, do you think we'll ever see Amelia again?"
"We will. I'll take you to see her next year," Leo Joyce said softly, looking down at the woman in his arms who was a crying mess.
"SOB... Leo, this hurts so much..."
"There, there, don't cry. It's not like we'll never see her again."
Tiana pounded on Leo Joyce's chest with her fists, crying as she said, "No, that's not it! I'm crying because Cassian is in love with Amelia! It shouldn't have ended like this for them..."
'They both clearly love each other, yet things still ended up like this.'
"What did you say?" Upon hearing her words, Leo Joyce's expression turned grim as he seized Tiana's hand.
