Ian Shaw's face turned beet red, then deathly pale. 'Fucking hell, why did that sound so damn creepy?'
He remembered how he'd advised Mika Summers to stay away and never come back...
A shiver ran down Ian Shaw's spine. He forced a smile and said, "Tristan, it's what I ought to do. But I just remembered, I might have something else to take care of."
With that, Ian Shaw turned to leave.
But Tristan Grayson's voice was cold as he called out, "Stop! Ian Shaw, you're right, you do have a lot to do. I'm getting married soon, so you'll be staying at the company for a while. For the next six months or more, you'll be handling all of my work."
"Why? If I'm handling everything, what are you going to do?" Ian Shaw sounded like he was about to burst into tears.
"I'll be preparing for the wedding, of course. After that, my wife and I are going on our honeymoon. I won't be back for at least a year, maybe a year and a half."
