When Mika Summers saw Jasmine arrive, she masked her feelings and forced a faint smile. "Jasmine, you're here..."
"What's wrong? Your eyes are so swollen! Did someone bully you?" Jasmine Warren flew into a rage the moment she saw Mika's red, puffy eyes, and she shouted at the top of her lungs.
"No, I'm fine." Hearing how worried Jasmine was, a warmth spread through Mika's chest, and the oppressive, heavy feeling she'd been carrying lessened considerably.
"Didn't I tell you to wait for me at home? What are you doing out here all alone?" Jasmine Warren sighed, walking over and pulling her up from the ground.
"I just wanted to go for a walk and get some fresh air."
Jasmine Warren didn't believe a word of it. She spun Mika around to face her and said in a cold voice, "Mika, you listen to me. I don't care how much you like that man. From this moment on, you are going to forget him!"
"I will." Mika's gaze firmed with resolve as she nodded.
