Una Sullivan did her best to remain calm. She looked at Mika Summers and demanded sharply, "Mika, explain yourself to me. What exactly is going on?"
"Mom, I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have hidden this from you and Dad, but I didn't know how to tell you. I'm married, and I'm one month pregnant now."
"You're married? And you're pregnant?" Una Sullivan was so furious she almost fainted on the spot. If Eleanor Bishop hadn't been there to support her, she surely would have collapsed.
"Um... yes... Mom... I'm sorry..." Seeing her mother's face pale with rage, Mika kept her head bowed low, admitting her fault.
"After something this huge, do you even see me as your mother anymore?" 'To think she went and got married behind our backs.'
