Her eyes were red and her expression numb as she stared at her swollen hands. A bitter smile touched the corners of her lips.
'Was it really necessary for him to humiliate me like this, just because someone touched me?'
"Are they clean now? Can I go home today?"
Tristan Grayson seemed tired. He nodded, took two steps back, and casually shoved his hands into his pants pockets.
But when Mika Summers wasn't looking, his brow furrowed slightly.
The hands in his pockets were actually just as red and swollen as Mika's. While they were washing, he had covered her hands with his, so his were in no better shape than hers.
'He didn't know what was wrong with him. When he saw that Chase Sinclair guy stop this woman and ask to be friends, he had wanted nothing more than to rush over and beat Chase to a pulp.'
'But he'd held back. This wasn't the kind of anger he should be feeling.'
