Everyone in the car looked grim after hearing what Mika Summers said.
This was especially true for Archie Summers. He snapped his laptop shut and looked up at Mika, his face grim.
'So, my sister thinks I'm a gangster.'
'I'm this handsome, how could I possibly look like a gangster? Mika's logic is really something else.'
Seeing Archie Summers's grim expression only made Mika Summers more certain of her suspicions. "Archie... if something happens to you, what will I do...? How could I ever face Mom and Dad...?"
Suppressing his fury, Archie Summers lowered his voice and said flatly, "Mika, in your eyes, is your brother just some gangster?"
"—" 'Well, isn't he? If he weren't a gangster, how would he know people like this?' But even though Mika Summers thought it, she didn't dare say it out loud, afraid of making him angry. "Um... Archie, that's not what I meant..."
Even without asking, Archie Summers could guess why Mika would think that.
