Emei Green Cliff, one of the Nine Peaks, was the home of the Sword Sect.
A youth in green robes descended gracefully among them.
The old man arrived shortly after.
The youth shoved Zhao Rui, tossing him to the old man, then started walking up the cliff.
"There are quite a few sword marks here. The techniques are sharp and fierce, not at all like what you'd expect from disciples of Buddhism!"
As the youth walked, he appraised the sword marks left on the surrounding rocks by previous generations.
These must have been carved by disciples during casual spars. Some had been eroded by wind and rain, fading into obscurity.
"The Swordsmanship of the Emei Sword Sect is one of intent. They claim their duty is to slay demons, eliminate evil, and uphold justice. Theirs has always been a sword of punishment."
"Slay demons and eliminate evil? Where are the demons? Where is the evil? Surely you don't mean us?"
The youth sneered.
