Vera sighed to herself. 'Thank goodness Nathaniel gave me a tube of lipstick today. Otherwise, this would have been really hard to explain.'
So she quickly took the lipstick out of her pocket. Nathaniel had already removed the packaging before giving it to her, so taking it out now wouldn't give her away.
But when she saw the logo on the lipstick, her heart sank. It was an extremely expensive international brand; a small tube like this cost hundreds of yuan.
