A victory in this round meant you didn't have to run ten laps and could also participate in target practice.
This round's opponents were decided by drawing lots. Vera Xavier drew Shirley Ewing. She smiled at Shirley and said, "Good luck, Shirley. I won't go easy on you!"
Shirley Ewing pursed her lips. "I may be shorter than you, but I'm heavier, and I'm stronger. Vera, we may be good friends, but I won't show any mercy either!"
A whistle blew, and the third round of the competition officially began.
Shirley Ewing reached out to grapple with Vera Xavier. Vera just smiled, grabbed Shirley's hand, and flipped her onto the soft mat with a shoulder throw.
Shirley was still a bit dazed when she hit the mat. It wasn't until Vera reached out a hand to pull her up that she realized she had already lost. She pouted, whimpering, "Vera, you're bullying me!"
Vera couldn't help but laugh. After Shirley got to her feet, she asked, "How did you do that?"
