But back then, Susan Caldwell hadn't listened to Sheldon Caldwell at all. Now, as Vera Xavier brutally beat Susan, he froze again. By the time he came to his senses, Vera had nearly slapped Susan unconscious. He quickly shouted, "Stop!"
Vera Xavier wasn't the type to obediently follow orders, but she did give him some consideration. She curled her palm into a fist and drove it right into Susan Caldwell's nose. In that instant, Susan felt a sharp, stinging pain as blood began to gush freely.
Sheldon Caldwell froze. Just when he thought Vera Xavier was going to stop, she shifted her body slightly, put some force into her arm, and executed a perfect over-the-shoulder throw on Susan Caldwell, slamming her onto the hard ground, not the soft mats.
