By the time Julian Caldwell arrived at the hospital, Sheldon Caldwell had already treated Winter Sullivan's wound and completed her admission paperwork. Winter hadn't wanted to be hospitalized, thinking it was just a minor injury and no big deal.
However, the hospital director knew how important she was. With all the vital information she held in her head, he couldn't afford to be careless. Even though the preliminary diagnosis was only a mild concussion, he insisted she be hospitalized and ordered a full physical examination, just to be safe.
Winter Sullivan was in a private room on the top floor. When Julian Caldwell entered, she was resting in bed, her face pale.
Julian Caldwell frowned when he saw her like this. He sat down beside her and asked, "What happened?"
Winter Sullivan let out a long sigh. "Susan is such a disappointment."
Sheldon Caldwell wasn't there; the attending physician had just called him away to get some paperwork.
