Fiona Wright paused, then looked at Susan Caldwell and said, "I can understand why you'd want to slander our classmate Vera Xavier. At the end of the day, it's just because she's more exceptional than you. But you already stole her spot for the freshman orientation speech. To pull something like this now, without knowing the facts, is enough to prove you're a malicious person, unworthy of being a student at our school!"
Shirley Ewing chimed in loudly from the side, "That's right! A girl with such a corrupt character doesn't deserve to be a student at our school!"
The students watching from the sidelines looked at them in surprise, unsure of what the real truth of the matter was.
Fiona Wright saw their confusion and immediately announced, "I swear to all the students and teachers here that everything I just said is the absolute truth! I have no personal issues with our classmate Susan Caldwell, and I only just met our classmate Vera Xavier yesterday!"
