In the 1990s, tourism in Yulara was just beginning to develop. Ordinary people didn't have much disposable income yet, so this small town wasn't very crowded. There weren't many tourists, and the streets were mostly filled with the Mitchell and members of other ethnic minorities.
After the Mitchell girl left, Aaron Cheney said with a look of admiration, "Vera, you're incredible. I honestly thought Old Hog was going to get his face beaten to a pulp today."
He had gotten quite chummy with Jack Judd recently and had given him the nickname.
Jack Judd muttered indignantly under his breath, "The girls here are so damn fierce. I just gave her a few compliments, and she actually slapped me!"
Nathaniel Nathan shot him a look, and he immediately backpedaled. "Ahaha, my bad, I was running my mouth. That Leila girl served me right with that slap! Don't worry, Vera, I'll never make that kind of mistake again. I'm a rogue with standards, you know!"
