Aaron Cheney had intended to come over as soon as he woke up, but he was still dizzy, so he rested for a bit and ended up arriving late.
His words once again stunned everyone there. He was the one who had always called Vera Xavier 'Third Sister-in-law'.
Nathaniel Nathan glared at him. "Is this how you take care of Vera?"
Aaron Cheney looked apologetic. "I wasn't capable enough! Punish me, Nathaniel!"
Vera Xavier, however, said, "This has nothing to do with Aaron. I'm the one who brought him here. Let's talk about this when we get home."
To divert Nathaniel Nathan's attention, Aaron Cheney immediately pointed at Susan Caldwell and her group. "Nathaniel, they've been bullying Vera! You have to stand up for her!"
Susan Caldwell's previously pleasant smile froze on her face. Her hand, still outstretched in mid-air, now looked like a complete joke.
