"Why are you taking my wine glass?" Celia Sterling's almond-shaped eyes held a hint of displeasure. She gripped the stem, refusing to let go. "I'm not going into the lab lately, so it's fine if I have a little."
Silas Norwood's pale gold eyes seemed to glint. While she was still holding it, he brought the glass to his lips and drank half of the wine. Only then did he lean in and whisper into her ear:
"Have you forgotten? Last time you were on your period, you secretly had some wine and ended up crying in my arms all night from the cramps."
Celia Sterling shot him a resentful look and fell silent.
Silas Norwood gently rubbed her head and added, "If you really must drink, I'll have one with you once these next few days are over."
"What's the point if the mood is gone?"
"And why wouldn't it be fun?" Silas Norwood's voice dropped even lower. "There are dozens of... stimulating ways for a husband and wife to enjoy red wine together..."
