At the villa's main gate.
Kian Sterling's car had long since vanished into the night.
Celia Sterling rubbed her eyes, finally feeling sleepy. She lazily tumbled into Silas Norwood's arms. "It's so late. We should go to bed, too."
Silas Norwood caught her, wrapping an arm around her waist and sweeping her up as he walked toward the bedroom.
They had both showered earlier while Kian Sterling was resting and had even managed a light nap for an hour or two. Now that sleepiness was creeping back, they skipped the usual routine, and Silas Norwood tucked her straight into bed.
"Silas," Celia Sterling said, stretching out her arms. "I want to cuddle you to sleep."
The next moment, Silas's cool, refined presence enveloped her. His large, elegant hands gently took her arms, guiding them to wrap around his firm, toned waist.
And then... nothing.
After several minutes, Celia Sterling opened her eyes, studying Silas Norwood searchingly. "You're acting strange."
