Yuan Lang's tigerish face darkened. "So you want me to use my good looks."
The Clan Leader chuckled. "Relax. Just keep Ye Duo occupied and don't let her get poached by a Beastman from another tribe."
He then gave Yuan Lang a solemn pat on the shoulder and whispered, "Don't worry. I've planted one of our own among those young beasts. He'll work with you. He won't let that lecherous female, Ye Duo, take advantage of you."
Yuan Lang forced a laugh. "Gee, thanks."
The Clan Leader waved a dismissive hand. "No need to be so formal. It's just part of my duty as Clan Leader."
Yuan Lang: "..."
'Was that supposed to be a compliment?'
Seeing that Yuan Lang's expression hadn't improved, the Clan Leader gave a nervous chuckle and made a quick getaway. "I have faith in you! It's all in your hands!"
Watching the Clan Leader flee as if a dog were at his heels, Yuan Lang felt his head start to buzz.
