Hannah Hale nodded to the nurse beside her. "Alright, let's begin the operation."
"Yes, Dr. Hale."
Outside the operating room, Mrs. Peyton sat on a bench in the hallway, waiting anxiously.
Julian Peyton was the only man left in the Peyton Family; they couldn't afford for anything else to go wrong.
The operation lasted nearly two hours. When Hannah Hale walked out, Mrs. Peyton looked at her and asked nervously, "Is my grandson going to be alright?"
Hannah Hale removed her disposable mask. "The operation was a success, but we still need to monitor him for signs of rejection and other potential post-transplant complications. A nurse will take him to his room shortly, and we'll be keeping a close watch on him."
Mrs. Peyton looked at Hannah Hale, her expression grave. "So you're saying that even though the operation was a success, he's not out of the woods?"
