Aiden Shaw stopped beside her, his warm palm enveloping her small hand. "Why are your hands so cold? I keep telling you to dress warmer, but you never listen."
"It's okay. I'll warm up once we're in the car."
Aiden Shaw wrapped the scarf he was holding around Laura Lowell, then looked up at Hannah Hale and the others. "Alright, we're going to head home now."
"Okay, drive safe."
Hannah Hale said with a smile, then turned to Morgan Joyce and Zachary Redgrave. "I'm going to take off now, too."
Morgan Joyce nodded. "Don't drive too fast. Text the group chat when you get home."
"Okay."
Hannah Hale waved to them and walked toward her car.
Just as she neared her car, a drunk woman suddenly lunged out, grabbing Hannah Hale and screaming, "You shameless... homewrecker! Just because you've got a pretty face... you go and seduce my husband! I'll kill you..."
Before Hannah Hale could even react, the woman raised her hand and swung at her.
