The investor had suddenly called a halt. What else could she do but comply?
"Cut! Cut! Everyone, take a break for now."
"What's wrong, Director? Why did we stop filming all of a sudden?"
A crew member asked, puzzled. They didn't know who the director had been on the phone with, but she didn't seem to be in high spirits.
Just now on the phone, Director Lorell hadn't even had a chance to ask what was going on before Aiden Shaw hung up. She, too, wanted to know why filming had to stop all of a sudden.
"LoriaLaura, let me help you to the car to rest for a bit."
Now that Laura Lowell was eating for two, Peach had to take even better care of her. There could be no mishaps.
Laura Lowell nodded. "Okay."
The two had just gotten into the RV when Laura Lowell's phone rang. It was a call from Aiden Shaw.
"Honey, did you see the text I sent you?"
"I saw it. Be a good girl and find a safe place to wait. I'm on my way to pick you up now."
