Stepping out of the Lord's Mansion, the warmth within the castle seemed completely shut out by the winter cold.
Raylo stepped out of the Lord's Mansion and onto the spacious plaza.
The winter sunlight was pale and weak, offering little warmth as it fell upon him.
The three little companions were huddled together, sprawled lazily on the steps at the edge of the plaza to sunbathe.
Upon seeing Raylo emerge, Moonlight lazily lifted an eyelid, rolled over, and went back to its nap.
Coal Ball peeked out. Seeing Raylo, it tried to run over but was pinned down by one of Moonlight's paws.
"Time to go, little ones."
Raylo smiled.
"This time, we're off to the west to meet some Vampires and Werewolves."
At Raylo's summons, Moonlight finally sat up, gave a huge stretch, and then, along with Coal Ball and Lightning, leaped from the steps to pounce into Raylo's arms.
Raylo reached out, grabbed the pouncing Blue Cat, Lightning, by its little stomach, and tossed it forward.
