"Quickly, Master!"
Raylo shouted immediately.
Master Barnaby, clutching the potion vial, slid nimbly down the slope. He ran to the Giant Whale's mouth and carefully uncorked the vial.
He aimed the mouth of the vial at the crack and poured all of the emerald-green potion inside.
The potion flowed through the gap and into the Giant Whale's mouth. A soft, green light shone from its maw, then spread across its entire body like ripples in water.
Raylo could clearly see countless granules of flesh begin to grow rapidly over the hideous wounds on the Giant Whale's back. The torn flesh squirmed and mended at a speed visible to the naked eye.
The gushing blood slowed to a trickle, and then stopped completely.
"It's working!"
Ed exclaimed quietly from the side.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
The Hill Giants released their grip, slumping to the ground one by one, panting from exhaustion.
Half an hour passed in tense anticipation.
