Nanny Vaughn had just reached the kitchen door when she heard chattering voices from the adjacent workroom. Based on the voice, it sounded like the young maid she had just reprimanded that morning.
'Hmph! That little bitch must be hiding somewhere, talking trash about me. Just you wait, I'll rip her mouth to shreds!' Nanny Vaughn was seething and looking for someone to take it out on, so she stomped menacingly to the workroom door and pressed her ear against it to eavesdrop.
"That Nanny Vaughn is so obnoxious. She's just an old servant of the Sterling Family, but she acts like she owns the place. The sight of her is just irritating!"
Hearing the voices from inside the workroom, a vicious glint appeared in Nanny Vaughn's eyes.
