Hearing the crowd's murmurs, especially those mocking and ridiculing him, Cedric Grant was utterly mortified and enraged. He raised his hand, ready to strike Jean Jarvis.
But Jean Jarvis simply tilted her face up to meet his hand. "You want to hit me? Go ahead!"

Cedric Grant seethed, but ultimately lowered his hand in frustration.
