Clara turned her head and saw Director Keane standing right next to her, speaking to her with a warm smile.
Clara quickly straightened up and called out respectfully, "Director Keane." Then she gave a shy smile and explained, "I'm not sick, just a little tired. It's nothing serious."
After a brief pause, she added tentatively, "Director Keane, I heard from Holly Summers just now that I was the one who called you to say I wasn't feeling well and wouldn't be coming down for dinner, but I didn't..."
Before she could finish, Director Keane chuckled. He glanced around, and seeing that no one was paying attention, he leaned in a little closer and lowered his voice. "President Quinn was the one who called me personally. He said you weren't feeling well, so you shouldn't come down. He also specifically told me to arrange for someone to bring some food up to your room.
I was just about to have someone send it up when I saw you'd come down after all."
