"Okay, okay, I'll be right there."
With that, Clara Grant hastily hung up. She'd completely forgotten Liam Keane was sitting across from her and immediately turned to go.
Liam Keane stood up as well, asking with concern, "Miss Grant, what's wrong?"
Only then did Clara Grant remember he was there. She turned back and apologized hurriedly, "Director Keane, I'm so sorry, but there's a family emergency. I have to go. As for the role of Tina, I'll look over the script and get back to you, is that all right?"
"Of course," Liam Keane said with a nod. "What's the emergency? Do you need any help?"
"No, that's alright. Thank you," Clara Grant said as she hurried out of the coffee shop.
Liam Keane stood there, watching until her back disappeared through the doorway. His expression relaxed considerably. 'Since she didn't refuse outright and said she'd look at the script first, there's still a chance.'
