"Chloe, why didn't you let me pull out the photos just now? With that evidence, there's no way that Clara Grant could have been so arrogant!" Ivy Vance, walking behind her, asked cautiously, not quite understanding.
"Are you stupid?" Chloe Grant, who was already fuming, snapped at the question. "Yes, I would've exposed Clara Grant if I'd shown them then, but what kind of impression would that have left on Miles? That I'm meddlesome? Or scheming? Miles doesn't really like me to begin with. You think I should go out of my way to make him hate me?"
"You've thought it all through, Chloe," Ivy Vance said, as if a lightbulb had gone off. She then added cleverly, "Don't worry, Chloe. I'll find someone to leak the photos. There's no way it'll be traced back to us."
Chloe Grant nodded, her anger subsiding a little.
"Chloe, we should get going. Class is about to start," Ivy Vance said.
