The video was just a short clip. Even played on a loop several times, it ran for less than a minute.
The old general played the video five times in a row before looking up at the crowd, his voice heavy and slow.

He played the clip again, but this time, he didn't let it finish. Instead, he paused on a single frame.
The image was blurry. Even after being technologically enhanced, all that was visible was a massive, indistinct shadow on the side of a distant mountain peak. It looked utterly monstrous and terrifying.
The foreground, however, was a strange, blurry void.
Just from this frame, one could guess that the person filming was in dire straits.
By now, they were likely dead.
