Putting aside everything else, with Arsenal's god-awful defensive line, heaven knew if they could hold up. An extra Domain Skill meant an extra layer of security! But he couldn't exactly tell Wenger, "Old Wen, trust me, I've got a cheat system!" So, he had to come up with some excuse.
"You know, it's better to be safe than sorry. We're playing at home, and the most important thing right now is to secure the league title. We need to make Manchester United and Manchester City give up hope as soon as possible."
What did it mean to give up hope? Chelsea was a prime example. They had already decided to hold back their strength in the league. In Round 30, Chelsea was playing Tottenham Hotspur at home. Even so, the Blue Army planned to hold back and focus entirely on preparing for next Wednesday's Champions League match. Why? Because they had no hope for the league title, and their chances of making the top four were slim. For the Blue Army, their only chance now was the Champions League!
