Before the season started, this would have been a match that absolutely no one cared about, right?
But now?
Who could have imagined Mainz would actually be second in the league?
No, Mark Williams had noticed the live score of another match.
At the end of the first half, VfL Wolfsburg was already leading Hamburg 3-0.
In other words, after beating Bielefeld this round, Mainz would be returning to the top of the table.
It's insane, right?
But since Premiere Television held Mainz's broadcast package, of course they had to capitalize on it and promote them heavily.
More importantly, Mark Williams was well aware that News Group had already made a decision: in March 2009, Premiere Television would be officially rebranded as German Sky Television.
This was a sign they were gearing up for something big!
