Ignoring the crowd's mix of fanaticism and panic, Nie Yun slowly rose into the air. He looked down upon the buildings of the Imperial Palace, his expression unchanging as he called out the first number.

He had only shouted one word when anxious cries echoed from within the palace. Immediately after, a group of ministers emerged from the Imperial Palace, escorting the dying His Majesty the Emperor.
His Majesty the Emperor's face was ashen and bruised, with dark circles ringing his eyes. His entire body was swollen, and he no longer bore any resemblance to a monarch, looking for all the world like a beggar.
