However, after encountering the True Game, the Three Gods believed the purpose of using the fragments to cultivate civilizations was simply to enhance their own Power. This, in turn, would make it easier to search for and merge with other fragments.
They even thought the fragments themselves possessed a will and consciousness. Thus, once their side's Power was strong enough, they could perform a master-servant fusion upon encountering other fragments.
This point became even more convincing after they encountered the True Game.
As for the first batch of Players in the Cosmic Game, it wasn't that the Three Gods didn't want to kill them at first—they couldn't!
Because the Cosmic Game controlled the very source of these Players' Soul Spirituality, even if the Three Gods killed these resurrecting 'Players', they could still revive once more in the Game World.
These Players were under the absolute protection of the Cosmic Game.
