In contrast, looking at the Human town... my goodness. The airships only fired two volleys from their Magic Crystal Cannons—about a dozen shots in total—and completely blasted the town walls to rubble.
Afterward, the army of humanoids waiting outside charged right in.
The entire process was completely one-sided, a total slaughter.
However, some Humans did manage to escape from the town, disappearing into the dense surrounding forests.
The humanoid soldiers, all around two and a half meters tall, didn't give chase. After slaughtering and capturing most of the town's inhabitants, they prepared to withdraw.
The process was swift and efficient; they didn't linger.
