Ethan Shaw unconsciously pulled out a cigarette. Just as he was about to put it to his lips, he flinched as if burned and tossed it into the trash can. He threw the pack from his desk drawer in after it.
He rarely smoked, only doing so occasionally to relieve frustration or pass the time. After smoking on the balcony last time, he had heard Naomi Kenway coughing as if she were choking. That's when he realized she hated the smell of smoke.
"Liam, don't put any more cigarettes in my desk. I don't need them."
"You're quitting?"
"Yes."
Liam Sherman nodded. "Understood, President Shaw. I'll start recruiting suitable private dance instructors. I'll present you with a few candidates to review."
Ethan Shaw nodded, adding with a hint of urgency, "As soon as possible."
After Liam Sherman left, Ethan Shaw stared at the documents in front of him, his thoughts gradually drifting away.
