Ethan Shaw was clearly stunned. He stared intently at Luke Lowell, his voice turning cold. "What did you say?"
Luke Lowell chuckled mischievously. "Just that they look a little alike. But my cousin is handsome and dashing; how could that guy possibly compare?"
Noticing Ethan Shaw's expression growing even darker, Luke Lowell belatedly realized something was wrong. "I was just kidding, cousin. Don't be so serious. They don't look alike. Not at all."
He held up four fingers. "I swear!"
A storm raged in Ethan Shaw's heart. He finally understood why Caleb Bishop had seemed vaguely familiar the first time they met. 'So it was because he looks a little like me?'
The fog was clearing, and something was gradually coming into focus.
Luke Lowell quietly called out, "Cousin?" He studied Ethan Shaw's face, then suddenly didn't dare make another sound. He couldn't understand why his cousin was having such a strong reaction.
