"So he hit him, so what?" Sophia Zobel said dismissively. "Look at you, so pathetic. You're so worked up, anyone would think your son was the one who got beat!"
"Mom..." Christina Lynch said in disbelief. "What kind of twisted logic is that? Mona hit a classmate. Are we supposed to give him a medal for it?!" He was seething. "Mona turned out this way entirely because you spoil him!!"
"So according to you, this is my fault?!"
Sophia Zobel glared, and Christina Lynch knew he had misspoken. He gave a weak, dry cough. "Hitting someone is one thing, but he hit the kindergarten principal's nephew. Mona was completely unrepentant and refused to apologize. In the end, I had to grovel and sweet-talk them, and it was only settled after I had my older brother pull some strings."
