Naomi Kenway had called Chloe Murray ahead of time, so when she arrived at the Clementine Coleman family's home, the old butler was already there to greet her. Since Chloe had gone abroad a few years ago, Naomi had visited the Murray family home far less often. The old butler looked at her with a hint of nostalgia as he quickly ushered her inside.
Chloe Murray was sitting on the living room sofa, her eyes fixed on the front door. The moment she saw Naomi Kenway, she stood up, waved, grabbed the crutch beside her, and limped a few steps forward.
Naomi quickly steadied her. "Don't move around. Here, let me help you sit."
Chloe sat down. She was wearing simple, loose-fitting loungewear, and her lips were a little pale, but that didn't stop her from flashing a brilliant smile. "I'm fine. It was just a few steps. It doesn't hurt at all."
