The private doctor hurried over. After an examination, he found that Ethan Shaw's wound showed signs of minor tearing. He re-bandaged it and instructed, "President Shaw, you must not get the wound wet. It's also best that you get plenty of rest. We don't want it to tear open a second time."
He gave a final bow. "I'll go prepare the medication now. Sir, Ma'am, I'll take my leave."
Naomi Kenway had seen the distinct wound on Ethan Shaw's shoulder blade. It was clearly caused by a sharp weapon. She frowned. "How did you get this injury?"
"I got hurt on the road. It was an accident."
"Do you take me for a fool? How did you really get this injury?"
The urgency in her own voice made Naomi Kenway pause. Just as she was about to explain herself, she heard Ethan Shaw chuckle softly. "Nina, you're worried about me."
He wasn't asking; he was stating a fact.
