"Jenna, what happened?" a startled voice cried out.
Jenna Shaw quickly wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes and apologized, "I'm sorry, it's my fault for not watching where I was going. I accidentally bumped into you..."
She looked up to find it was Walter Ford's friend, Clay Yates. She fought to hold back her tears, unwilling to lose face in front of someone else. "Oh, it's you. My fault, I wasn't paying attention."
Clay Yates was very tall, over six-foot-one. He had a clean buzz cut and sharp, handsome features. "Jenna, why are you crying? Did someone bully you? I'll go tell Walter Vance."
"There's no need," Jenna Shaw said coldly.
She had just been hurt by Walter Ford, and by extension, she felt a flash of irritation just seeing Clay Yates.
"Go find Walter Ford. I'm leaving now."
With that, she turned and left.
