Renee Jennings's brows furrowed. Her eyes were slightly lowered, staring at Nathan Lynch with a hidden rage burning within them. She clenched her hands. "Mona, I think you're so tired you're not thinking straight..."
Nathan Lynch exhaled. The heat had flushed his fair cheeks red. As if he had made up his mind, he said, "My mom doesn't treat me well at all. She always forces me to do things I don't want to do, makes me study late into the night, and feeds me food I don't even like. She's always lecturing me, and when I'm so tired I can't go on, she'll just grab my sleeve and drag me along! She doesn't treat me well at all!!"
Nathan Lynch's eyes were red, and tears welled up in them.
A silence fell over the set. From the way Nathan Lynch told his story, the guests were getting to know a different Renee Jennings—a tyrannical and selfish one.
