Summer Lancaster didn't have much to do that morning. The preparations for the jewelry exhibition were in their final stages, and it was set to begin as soon as Kenneth Yates returned.
Summer Lancaster held her phone, conflicted. She keyed in his number, only to delete it again. In the end, she set the phone down, leaned back in her chair, and closed her eyes to rest.
"Director Lancaster, you're needed at the exhibition hall," her secretary said, knocking on the door.
"Alright, I'll be right there." Summer stood and smoothed the wrinkles from her clothes.
Inside the exhibition hall, most of the jewelry was already on display. Only a small selection of the most valuable pieces had yet to be set out. The main display platform, however, was still empty. It was said that this was per President Yates's instructions; no jewelry was to be placed there.
