The scorching summer sun was no match for the biting cold of this snow-covered land.
The vast, snow-white expanse of the frozen wastes seemed utterly devoid of life.
A small private plane, apparently suffering from engine failure, plummeted from the sky and crashed into the white snow.
A deafening BOOM shook the ground.
"Sir, a plane crashed to the north. Should we go check it out?" a man hidden in a dense pine forest asked, observing the north through a pair of binoculars.
The fuselage was engulfed in flames, with thick black smoke billowing into the air.
"Sir, it might have parts we can use to modify the ship." The man's eyes lit up as if he'd just spotted a treasure trove.
"Go take a look."
"Yes, sir."
The two men carefully emerged from the forest and slowly approached the small plane.
Resting on the snow and ice, the fire on the fuselage was quickly extinguished, leaving only the charred husk of the aircraft.
