At that point, the competition would shift to an arena-challenge format. Fifty disciples would be chosen as defenders, and the remaining disciples could freely challenge any of them.
Only disciples who successfully defended their platform until the end of the competition, or those who won three consecutive matches during the challenge phase, could be accepted into the Inner Sect.
This measure was to prevent those who arranged the matchups for the first seven rounds from accepting bribes. Any lucky individuals who had advanced by continuously defeating weak opponents would also be eliminated in this round.
