The Wounded Immortal nodded slightly, then cast his gaze into the depths.
"The one carrying the Jade Pool Fragment should be arriving soon, no?"
The words had barely faded when the void trembled and cracked. Four beings of the Celestial Realms Level all turned their heads to see a majestic figure approaching.
"I have come, bearing the Jade Pool Fragment," the majestic figure said dispassionately. His presence was so immense it shook the heavens and the earth.
The expressions of the four Celestial Realms Level beings changed in unison.
"How is it you?"
"Buddha is merciful," the majestic figure said coldly. "And why can it not be me?"
After a pause, this Ancient Buddha lowered his gaze.
"Rest assured, I am here to help. Once this is done, the Buddha Mother will release Wukong. This is a transaction."
The four Celestial Realms Level figures looked at each other, but ultimately remained silent.
